The Springfield Free Public Library will present “Generations of Jazz,” a musical introduction to jazz and jazz history at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 6, in the library’s Donald B. Palmer Museum.
Offered by the New Jersey Jazz Society, the program will feature a quintet consisting of a vocalist, keyboardist, horn player, bassist and drummer and will run for approximately 75 minutes, to be followed by a question and answer session. The program is being offered through The Generations of Jazz School and Library program which is made possible in part by grants from the Rea Charitable Trust, the Wells Fargo Foundation, and the Investors Bank Foundation.
In the event of hazardous travel conditions due to the weather, the program will be rescheduled to run at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 13. This program is free and open to all members of the general public. More information about the New Jersey Jazz Society can be found at https://www.njjs.org/
