Join us at the Springfield Free Public Library at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 5 as we ring in the new year with a performance by The Original Mixed Company, an a cappella oldies group that will have you smiling and singing along.
The group specializes in Doo-Wop, Motown, Rhythm & Blues and Gospel. Performing for more than 35 years, the group, originally founded as Patty and the Street Tones, has performed at venues throughout the tri-state area, including the famous Studio 54 nightclub, and has served as an opening act for The Drifters, The Marvelettes, Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge, The Platters, The Coasters, and the Moonglows among other well-known bands and ensembles. They have also made several recordings on the Clifton and Catamont Records labels.
