Halloween Writing Contest Begins

Witches, vampires, and werewolves, oh my!

Grades 6-10 are invited to participate in our horror-themed writing contest for the month of October. Participation is open to all Union County residents. Poetry, short stories, comics, and creative nonfiction are welcome! Two winners will receive a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card.

Contest Rules & Guidelines

  1. Only 1 entry per person. All works must be your own!
  2. Submissions are open from Tuesday, Oct 1 through Thursday, Oct 31.
  3. All submissions should be in a PDF file and must include your name, contact information, and grade.
  4. Submissions should be no longer than 2,000 words and should not include profanity or graphic violence. Aim for spooky, scary, and thrilling but not gory!
