The Summer International Film Festival continues at the Springfield Free Public Library on Thursday, July 25th. The library will screen Shoplifters (2018) at 1:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. This film received 80 nominations and won 43 awards, including Best Foreign film of the Year. A family of small-time crooks take in a child they find outside in the cold. Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda. Starring Lily Franky, Sakura Ando and Kirin Kiki. In Japanese with English subtitles. 121 minutes. Rated R. The festival will continue every Thursday afternoon and evening through August 15th.
