Book Groups

(Really Good!) Book Discussion Group meets the first Thursday evening of the month (October through June), usually at 7PM.

Great Books Discussion Group meets on the third Thursday morning of the month usually at 10AM in the Meeting Room. The group discusses works of literature that have been synopsized by the Great Books Foundation. A book containing the synopsized versions is available for purchase at the Circulation Desk.

Next Chapter Book Club meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. It is a book club for adults with developmental disabilities. Participation is free and open both to residents of Springfield as well as to people who reside in other communities. People interested in participating will need to come to the library in advance of the first meeting in order to preregister.
