INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS WISHING TO
EXHIBIT
IN THE
Exhibits are approved by the Museum Committee, a sub-committee of the
Springfield Library’s Board of Trustees. The committee meets to approve
applications from individual artists and groups approximately once a year.
Competition for the space is keen and the committee selects potential exhibits
based on the quality and appropriateness of the work In addition, the committee
attempts to select a variety of art forms so as to provide visitors to the
Museum with a different experience with each show.
Artists interested in exhibiting are asked to fill out a form to be placed
on the waiting list. Approximately six weeks before the committee is scheduled
to meet, artists on the waiting list will be notified to submit samples of
their art work, resumes and other information. The committee will return all
art work after consideration.
