The Springfield Public School District makes use of Reading Lists for each grade level from kindergarten to grade eight. The library makes every effort to support the schools' curricula by providing the books on these Reading Lists to Springfield children.

The Reading Lists are printed out and available for your use in the library at the Youth Services Desk. If the library owns a title from the list, the call number is noted to help you find where the book is located on the library’s shelves. Most books for Grades K to Five will be shelved in the Juvenile collection; books for Grades Six, Seven and Eight may be located either in the Juvenile, Young Adult or Adult collections.

Ask one of the librarians located at either the Youth Services or Reference Desks if you need help locating titles in the library.
