Friends of the Library

All welcome
The Friends of the Library was organized in 1967 to serve as a link between the library and the community. THE FRIENDS enhance the services the library provides to the public. For example, it underwrites special children’s programs, buys selected sets of reference books, and upgrades certain equipment for staff members, among other projects. Membership dues provide much of the treasury, but the annual fall book sale and biennial spring lobby sale are also important fundraisers. Many members help out by sorting and selling these items. Ongoing sales of donated used paperbacks and magazines are likewise important sources of funds.
Won’t you consider joining us? Your membership payment is tax deductible.
