                                                            INTERLIBRARY LOAN GUIDELINES

 

            1. Before making a request, please check our catalog for availability
            2. Must live, work, or attend school in Springfield
            3. MURAL members must go through their home library—e.g. Union residents must request interlibrary materials through the Union Public Library
            4. Renewals must be requested in person up to 2 days prior to the due date. Two week provisional renewals are available. Late fees are 20cents per day.  However, the lending library may recall the book.
            5. Recent publications may be unavailable. Please wait at least 3 months from the copyright date before requesting the material. Please do not request items before the publication date.
            6. The book you want may be available as a “hot pick” which is an uncataloged paper back. Check with a librarian before ordering it through interlibrary loan if a paperback is acceptable.
            7. Patrons are limited to 5 interlibrary loan requests per day.
