INTERLIBRARY LOAN GUIDELINES
- Before making a
request, please check our catalog for availability
- Must live,
work, or attend school in Springfield
- MURAL members
must go through their home library—e.g. Union residents must request
interlibrary materials through the Union Public Library
- Renewals must
be requested in person up to 2 days prior to the due date. Two week
provisional renewals are available. Late fees are 20cents per
day. However, the lending library may recall the book.
- Recent
publications may be unavailable. Please wait at least 3 months from
the copyright date before requesting the material. Please do
not request items before the publication date.
- The book you
want may be available as a “hot pick” which is an uncataloged
paper back. Check with a librarian before ordering it through
interlibrary loan if a paperback is acceptable.
- Patrons
are limited to 5 interlibrary loan requests per day.
